Job Summary
Provide infrastructure support across AWS and Azure environments, including incident response, service requests, and change implementation. Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure-as-code artefacts using Terraform to ensure consistent cloud deployments. Assist in monitoring, alerting, and observability configuration across platforms to detect issues early. Participate in change management processes by preparing records and implementing approved changes within established windows. Maintain accurate technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for supported environments. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across time zones, including Australian-based platform and application engineering teams. Apply security and compliance standards consistently across cloud environments in line with Novigi's governance frameworks. This mid-level individual contributor role supports Australian clients within a complex, regulated environment, reporting to the Portfolio Lead in Colombo.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure support, or systems administration roles
- Hands-on experience working with both AWS and Azure in a production or near-production context
- Working knowledge of core cloud networking, IAM, compute, and storage services on at least one major cloud platform
- Experience with or exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform
- Familiarity with ITSM practices — incident, change, and service request management
- Sound troubleshooting skills across cloud networking, virtual machines, and platform services
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation
- Work hours that provide meaningful overlap with Australian Eastern Time

Desired Qualifications
- AWS certification at Associate level (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator)
- Microsoft Azure certification at Associate level (e.g. AZ-104 Azure Administrator)
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Buildkite for infrastructure pipeline workflows
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch
- Exposure to cloud security tooling including Microsoft Defender for Cloud or AWS Security Hub
- Experience working in a financial services, superannuation, or similarly regulated industry environment
- Practical use of AI tools (such as Claude or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate infrastructure tasks, improve IaC quality, or support documentation workflows
