Cloud Engineer

Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning. Improve CI/CD pipelines for faster software delivery while monitoring platform health, performance, and security. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize application deployment, implement cloud security best practices, and drive operational excellence across the organization. Participate in architecture discussions to contribute to long-term cloud strategy and mentor colleagues on DevOps standards. This role supports the global AI R&D hub's multi-year transformation of the product portfolio, ensuring reliable delivery for over 95,000 customers.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience working with public cloud platforms
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
- Strong knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
- Good understanding of networking, security, IAM, and cloud architecture principles
- Experience administering Linux-based systems
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Experience supporting production SaaS environments with high availability and reliability requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Passion for automation and continuous improvement
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with both AWS and Azure
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or similar)
- Experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda
- Experience implementing security and compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of cost optimisation and FinOps practices
- Experience working within Agile engineering teams
