Job Summary
Ensure Cloud platform documentation, compliance, and operational metrics remain within defined thresholds while developing automation for standardization and architectural design patterns. Provide design and coding reviews for Infrastructure-as-Code, create runbooks for operational support, and participate in advanced troubleshooting sessions involving log analysis, vendor coordination, and service requests. Review application designs for reliability and performance, define operational characteristics for Cloud-native services, and contribute to team initiatives including recruiting, training, and knowledge sharing. Continuously optimize environment quality and cost while mentoring team members and learning advanced topics.
Required Qualifications
- Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- Cloud Architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Programming/scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Ruby, Java, JavaScript)
- Configuration Management software experience (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack)
- Familiarity with running and scaling distributed software systems (load balancing, high availability, systems monitoring, etc.)
- Familiarity with structured text (JSON, YAML, XML)
- Proven application production support experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Passion for automating routine tasks
- Solid understanding of networking and network-related structures
- Extensive experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems internals and administration
- Ability to multitask and adapt to quickly changing priorities
- Ability and willingness to work off-hours on occasion
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- 4+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering or support
- Extensive experience with multiple programming/scripting languages, Windows and Linux Operating systems, networking, systems and data design and agile methodologies
- Certification Two or more AWS or Azure
