Job Summary

Provision and configure cloud resources aligned to NEST Communications Program architecture while maintaining system availability, performance, and reliability. Execute routine updates, patching, and configuration changes, then monitor cloud environments using enterprise tools to identify, troubleshoot, and escalate system issues. Support incident response aligned to mission priorities, manage user access using IAM frameworks, and enforce least privilege and federal compliance standards. Assist leadership with operational tracking and reporting, maintain system documentation and SOPs, and ensure alignment with DOE/NNSA compliance requirements. Monitor backups and validate data integrity, performing restoration actions supporting mission continuity. This role requires a TS/SCI and Q clearance, on-call responsibilities, and occasional travel. BVG & Company specializes in equipping organizations with Counter WMD and enhancing infrastructure resilience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an area applicable to the position
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, or cloud operations
  • 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree requirement
  • Experience working in an AWS environment
  • Familiarity with console accesses to provision, maintain and monitor servers
  • Foundational understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, basic routing
  • Basic proficiency with command-line environments (Linux Bash and/or Windows PowerShell)
  • Understanding of FEDRAMP
  • Virtualization and container experience
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python
  • Automation Tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Communication skills
  • Strong willingness to learn and operate in a structured, SOP-driven environment
  • Ability to work on-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Ability to support occasional travel
  • Ability to support after-hours maintenance
  • Ability to support on-call responsibilities
  • Ability to support emergency-response requirements
  • Current and active DOE Q Clearance/Top Secret Clearance with the ability to acquire an SCI
  • At least 18 years of age
  • US citizenship
  • Ability to complete a new employment drug test
  • Ability to maintain a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing
  • Eligibility requirements for access to classified material

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant internships or hands-on lab experience
  • Experience with DoD or DOE/NNSA
  • Entry-level cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
