Job Summary
Cloud Engineer I will monitor, support, and automate cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP; provision, manage, monitor, and decommission cloud services; support cloud-based servers and Active Directory/EntraID; implement new cloud environments and technologies; collaborate with internal/external teams to integrate infrastructure components; provide escalated end-user and service-desk support; and be available for night/weekend hours as required. The role emphasizes multi-cloud administration, security, performance troubleshooting across Azure, AWS, and GCP, and hands-on scripting with PowerShell; experience with AD/EntraID, DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, and VPN is expected. Hybrid work arrangement in Brentwood, TN.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or minimum of three (3) years’ experience supporting, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise information technology systems in Azure (Microsoft ecosystem).
- Knowledge of backup, restore, recovery, and high availability strategies for cloud environments
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot server and database resource issues (CPU, memory, I/O, disk space)
- Understanding of complex Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, and adherence to standards and procedures
- Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, and Windows Authentication
- Familiarity with network protocols (DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP) and TCP/IP routing/subnetting
- Working knowledge of VPN connectivity and client troubleshooting
- PowerShell skills
- AWS and GCP experience preferred
- Knowledge of Cisco Meraki network equipment/IOS preferred
- Certification(s) related to the cloud environment preferred (e.g., AZ-900 or higher, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Google Associate Cloud Engineer)
