Job Summary
Cloud Engineer for a 30-month HBITS contract with the State of New York. Requires extensive cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and systems administration experience, including hands-on GCP work (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Secret Manager), Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions), GitHub workflows, and Agile delivery. Certifications: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Terraform Associate. Bachelor’s degree required. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- 60 months of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or systems administration
- at least 2 years in a public cloud environment (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure considered)
- 36 months of experience with GCP including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC networking, IAM, and Secret Manager
- 36 months of experience with Terraform
- 36 months of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or equivalent
- 36 months of experience with GitHub and Git workflows
- 24 months of experience in an Agile delivery environment
- 12 months of experience with Splunk for log analysis and observability
- 12 months of experience with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube within a CI/CD pipeline
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Terraform Associate (HashiCorp)
- Bachelor’s Degree
