Job Summary
Manage and stand up AWS environments and accounts alongside the program's designated cloud lead, applying GovCloud expertise and Department requirements to design, provision, and harden cloud landing zones. Engineer the pre-production architecture to support relational databases, modern software languages, Zero Trust, API integration, and CI/CD implementation, scaling the prototype into a full environment for development, testing, and integration. Ensure cloud-hosted IT systems meet security and compliance standards by reviewing policies, supporting protection and detection requirements, and guiding assessment staff on vulnerability assessments. Contribute architecture content to EA artifacts and design diagrams while implementing RMF controls to support IATT-C and ATO accreditations.
Required Qualifications
- 5 Years
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, IT, or closely related discipline, or equivalent additional relevant experience
- Secret
- IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at time of proposal submission
- Must be specifically an AWS cloud engineer/expert
- Demonstrated familiarity with AWS GovCloud and Department environment requirements
- Extensive knowledge of FedRAMP assessment methodology
- Experience working with OCI
- Experience working with enterprise DoD IT
- Experience standing up and administering cloud accounts, organizations, IAM boundaries, and network segmentation in a regulated Government environment
- Extensive experience working on highly complex IT systems
- Resume must demonstrate experience working legacy system upgrades, modernization, legacy system transition, data migration and/or system analysis and design
- demonstrated experience performing functional and technical solutions decomposition that enables solutions analysis and design
- demonstrated experience implementing solutions with respect to modern database design and modern software languages within the federal Government, specifically within the DoD
- Travel to on-site meetings in Columbus, OH (Onsite once per month (average) up to 3 days.)
