Job Summary
Cloud Engineer responsible for the foundation of Dawn Technology’s cloud-enabled apps and websites. Manage and improve a complex multi-organizational AWS Cloud environment, build infrastructure fully via code using AWS CDK, and optimize costs. Collaborate with developers and product owners to modernize the platform, migrate workloads to serverless solutions, and quickly resolve distributed-architecture issues. Requires hands-on IaC experience with AWS CDK (or Terraform/CloudFormation), proactive problem-solving, and a focus on cost-conscious cloud design. Must reside in the Netherlands and speak Dutch. Desirable exposure to Google Cloud or Azure and willingness to move to AWS. The role offers hybrid work at the Hilversum office and includes a broad set of development, societal-impact projects, and opportunities for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience deploying infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Strong preference for AWS CDK (or willingness to learn from Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Proactive, advisory mindset with ability to make-and-own decisions to improve cloud architecture
- Track record in troubleshooting complex AWS environments
- Residence in the Netherlands and Dutch language proficiency
