Job Summary
Lead collaborations with architects to design highly scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform. Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to automate provisioning and management. Spearhead DevOps methodologies by guiding developers to establish sophisticated CI/CD pipelines within the cloud ecosystem. Assume a leadership role in enforcing stringent security measures and ensuring robust compliance with data privacy regulations like GDPR and HIPAA. Architect comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to guarantee continuous infrastructure health, while formulating backup and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical systems. Proactively identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks, taking charge of diagnosing and resolving intricate infrastructure issues. Provide expert guidance and support while driving comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture and configurations. Lead cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and developers to deliver innovative solutions. Immediate joiners only for this 4-week remote contract in the US (CDT preferred).
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP, showcasing expertise in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar platforms
- In-depth understanding of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, and IAM, coupled with familiarity in container orchestration using Kubernetes
- Experience working with Ansible
- Experience deploying and optimizing Google Cloud Data services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Firestore, Cloud Bigtable, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub for efficient data storage, processing, and analytics within GCP environments
- Skilled in scripting languages like Python and Bash for automation and configuration management, and proficient in managing both Linux and Windows OS
- Strong grasp of security best practices, compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, GDPR, HIPAA), and experience implementing them
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities, both independently and within teams
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related or equivalent work experience
- Must be available for immediate joining
- Must be located in the US, preferably CDT time zone
- Must be able to work remotely

- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification
