Job Summary
Cloud Engineer for Rakuten's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) responsible for day-to-day multi-cloud operations across AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI, governance, runbooks, Jira workflows, incident handling, and cross-team collaboration. Key duties include reviewing and improving governance policies and security guardrails, processing cloud account requests via Jira, performing IAM/networking/configuration tasks per runbooks, providing first-line user support and escalating complex issues, maintaining and updating Confluence runbooks, and coordinating with security, networking, and cloud vendors. Desired skills/experience include hands-on multi-cloud ops, IaC (Terraform), documentation in Confluence, and familiarity with cloud security/compliance considerations; English and Japanese language proficiency noted.
Required Qualifications
- More than 3 years of hands-on experience operating and configuring public cloud environments (2 or more of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
- Experience with basic IAM and networking configuration (VPC, subnets, security groups, etc.)
- Experience working with Jira or equivalent ticket management tools
- Ability to execute tasks accurately based on runbooks and manuals
- Basic troubleshooting skills (log analysis, root cause isolation, etc.)
- Business-level English communication skills (meetings, Slack, documentation)
