Job Summary
Cloud Engineer role focused on designing, building, deploying, evaluating and maintaining IT infrastructure across on‐premises and cloud environments. Acts as a liaison between Infrastructure and other IT teams, vendors and business units to design infrastructure solutions, determine security controls, identify threats, diagnose complex issues, and implement remediation. Responsibilities include administering automated workflow tools, middleware servers (e.g., Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere), and server visualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Red Hat Virtualization, Oracle VM) to maximize efficiency; planning and coordinating infrastructure installation; monitoring networks and servers; applying patches and vulnerabilities; managing release plans, tests and validation strategies; evaluating current systems and supporting improvements. Requires scripting, virtualization, IaC, and experience across operating systems, databases, containers, and continuous improvement. Focused on the business/group within the bank with potential enterprise-wide scope.
