Job Summary
Build and operate a secure, performant, and cost-effective AWS Cloud Platform, automating system deployment and operations using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tooling. Maintain source code repositories, write and review platform code, and enable engineering teams with cloud service adoption. Triage incidents, problems, and risks impacting cloud services while defining and documenting low-level designs for Flutter cloud services. Support cloud architecture leads in developing technology roadmaps, create standard operating procedures, and liaise with third-party vendors and internal groups. Act as a trusted SME offering advice and knowledge sharing, participate in an on-call rota, and work within an agile environment to migrate and modernize services for the group's betting brands.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise organisations on large scale migration/modernisation transformation projects
- Customer-obsessed and collaborative approach
- Strong technical understanding to provide confidence and answer questions
- Ability to engage and help crystallise business benefits of migrations
- Excellent technical understanding of cloud solutions
- Passion for helping to transform using cloud technologies
- Master in Building and operating Infrastructure and Cloud platforms, ideally within highly available AWS environments
- Strong network knowledge in the TCP/IP stack, Firewalls and AWS cloud Networking Services (AWS CloudWAN, DNS, AWS Network Firewalls)
- Relocating, rehosting, refactoring and rearchitecting services into AWS
- Working with source control management (Git, GitHub) and CI/CD Pipelines
- Managing deployment assets such as AMIs, container images and artefacts
- Managing Infrastructure as code using CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation
- Orchestration and management of container platforms, preferably using Kubernetes
- Delivering systems in security compliant environments
- Writing and maintaining technical documentation
- Sharing knowledge with your peers and across the wider engineering community
- Working in an agile environment
- Incident, change, problem, and risk management
