Cloud Engineer (Azure & DevOps)

Job Summary
Build, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure across production, staging, and development environments while improving scalability, availability, and reliability. Manage core services including App Service, Virtual Machines, storage, networking, and identity, and automate provisioning using Infrastructure as Code. Support CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot infrastructure and performance issues, and implement security best practices such as RBAC and Key Vault. Monitor systems via Azure Monitor and Application Insights to ensure application visibility. Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvements to keep the platform secure and up to date.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure in a cloud engineering, infrastructure, systems engineering, or DevOps role
- Practical experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Azure resources
- Good knowledge of core Azure services, including App Service, Virtual Machines, networking, storage, and identity
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM Templates, Bicep or Terraform)
- A solid understanding of networking concepts such as VNets, subnets, private endpoints, DNS, firewalls, and routing
- Experience with monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation
- An understanding of cloud security principles, access control, secrets management, and secure networking
- Experience supporting production systems and investigating technical incidents
- A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with software engineering teams
