Job Summary
Hands-on Cloud Engineer to operate and continuously improve an Azure cloud platform. Responsible for AKS platform operations, IaC automation (Terraform/Bicep), CI/CD enablement (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), observability and guardrails, security/compliance alignment, data platform support (Snowflake, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), and FinOps/cost governance. Builds and maintains automation scripts (PowerShell/Python), contributes to reusable modules, and collaborates with Security/Network teams to deliver secure, compliant cloud services. Requires a hybrid work schedule near the Charlotte, NC office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years supporting cloud platforms and production operations (Azure-centric)
- Hands-on Azure experience across foundational services; AKS/Kubernetes operational experience
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform (modules/patterns); familiarity with Bicep
- Scripting/automation with PowerShell and/or Python
- Experience with monitoring/troubleshooting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; OpenTelemetry familiarity
- Ability to document/runbooks clearly and communicate across teams
