Job Summary
Cloud Development Engineer to implement time-critical cloud data-flow solutions, translate software requirements into cloud-based data usage architectures, troubleshoot cloud environments, and collaborate with government customers to document data-flow needs and prioritize cloud integration projects. Responsibilities include designing cloud solutions for data usage, supporting testing and validation, coordinating with stakeholders, and operationalizing software applications in a cloud environment. Skills emphasis includes AWS, DevSecOps practices, RESTful APIs, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation), scripting (Shell, Bash, YAML), Python and Golang, and CI/CD/GitOps.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant field
- 5+ years of experience
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification (or obtain within 180 days of hire)
- Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, container)
- Orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Helm)
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles
- Proficiency in Python and Golang
- Knowledgeable on concepts in DevSecOps principles
- Experience with RESTful APIs, scripting in Shell, Bash, and yaml
- Experience with Linux, installing software, patches, and updates on Servers
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
- U.S. citizenship required
- Security clearance (active) preferred
