Job Summary
Cloud Data Platform Sales Representative focused on selling Oracle’s data platform cloud solutions and Oracle database licenses to new and existing customers. Responsibilities include identifying business opportunities in the assigned territory, developing outbound strategies, qualifying leads, and maintaining account plans; engaging business and technical decision-makers with a consultative approach to tailor solutions; delivering product presentations and demos of Oracle’s data platform cloud products and on-prem licenses; coordinating proof-of-concept trials with technical teams; negotiating contracts for cloud subscriptions and perpetual licenses; managing and expanding relationships with existing clients, pursuing cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and ensuring successful adoption post-sale; collaborating with internal teams (marketing, product, customer success) and partners to drive demand and implementation; travel to meet with customers as required by the role.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (IaaS) and platform services (PaaS)
- Proven sales experience in cloud technologies, database/platform solutions, or enterprise software
- Knowledge of Oracle database solutions including Oracle Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Oracle Database licenses
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles from prospecting to closing in cloud/software licensing
