Job Summary

This is a 100% remote Cloud Data Engineer role focused on designing, building, and delivering modern Data & AI solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will implement lakehouse and data engineering patterns using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory across client environments, collaborate with solution architects and delivery teams, and contribute through the full project lifecycle (development, testing, deployment, optimization, and client engagement). The role requires hands-on experience with PySpark, SQL, Python, CI/CD automation (Azure DevOps or GitHub), and a strong working knowledge of Azure services (Data Factory, SQL, Storage, Data Lake Storage). A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred, and there is interest in AI workloads and related tooling such as Copilot Studio. This remote position may involve travel to meet client needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying Microsoft data platform solutions
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or related Azure data services
  • Strong proficiency in PySpark, SQL, Python, and modern ETL/ELT development patterns
  • Experience working with lakehouse architectures, medallion data models, and enterprise data engineering practices
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment automation using Azure DevOps or GitHub
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, and related services
  • Experience troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting production data workloads
  • Experience with T-SQL development including stored procedures, views, and performance optimization
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for internal and external client engagements
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions within project timelines
  • Interest in modern AI productivity and agent technologies including Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio
  • Prior experience with Data Vault or dimensional modeling methodologies preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks, analytics engineering, or modern AI workloads
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud or data modernization initiatives
