Job Summary
Design cloud environments and oversee cloud strategies including migrations and optimization for 24×7 production, staging, QA, and development infrastructures. Implement infrastructure as code, automate development and deployment processes, and perform root cause analysis on complex technical components. Collaborate with developers to ensure adherence to established processes, test code written by others, and present status updates while mentoring junior team members. Document environment states, conduct gap analyses, and leverage containerization to modernize software systems.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
- BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience
- 10+ Years of total experience
- 8 Years of Experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions
- 8 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Hands-on experience as a Cloud Architect with expertise in AWS
- 8 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
- 8 Years of Experience with systems development in an Agile environment
- 8 Years of Experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration
- 8 Years of Experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestration
- 5 Years of Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics
- Must possess at least two (2) of the following certifications, one of which must be a cloud certification: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL Foundation, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Google Cloud Professional Certification, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- Candidates local to the Washington, DC metro area and willing to work on-site in Bethesda, MD

Desired Qualifications
- MS Degree in an IT-related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Experience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferred
