Job Summary
Cloud Architect role to support the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Space Force Base in Melbourne, FL. Implement time-critical cloud solutions to deliver and monitor mission data, translate software requirements and designs into cloud solutions, lead cloud- troubleshooting efforts, analyze data flows and requirements for cloud environments, coordinate with customers, and help operationalize secure, scalable cloud software with DevSecOps practices. Requires active U.S. government security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and hands-on experience with AWS, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), IaC (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation), CI/CD and GitOps, and programming in Python/Golang; strong collaboration with executives, partners, and project stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- 5+ years of experience
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification (or within 180 days of hire)
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active government security clearance at time of hire (clearance must be adjudicated)
- Must pass a drug test
- Experience with RESTful APIs, scripting in Shell, Bash, and YAML
- Hands-on experience with virtualization, containers (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Helm)
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps
- Proficiency in Python and Golang
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledgeable on DevSecOps concepts
