Job Summary
Design end-to-end data architectures on AWS, including lakehouse and data mesh patterns, tailored to business requirements. Develop and optimise data models using SQL and NoSQL stores, and build scalable ETL and ELT pipelines for batch and streaming data. Implement data security, compliance, and governance frameworks while performing performance tuning and cost optimisation across large-scale infrastructure. Collaborate with data science, engineering, and business teams to translate strategy into technical delivery and establish best practices across the organisation.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles
- Proven expertise designing and implementing data architectures on AWS
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, Glue, Lambda, and Kinesis
- Demonstrated experience building ETL and ELT pipelines using Kafka, Python, and PySpark
- Solid understanding of data security, compliance, and governance frameworks
- Experience with lakehouse and data mesh architectural patterns
- Knowledge of FinOps and infrastructure cost optimisation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
