Job Summary
Sell clothing, footwear, and accessories on the sales floor while advising customers on prices, features, and alternative goods. Assist with customer carry-outs, handle routine telephone inquiries, and receive and display merchandise according to established policies. Perform general floor maintenance, monitor merchandise safekeeping, and participate in inventory cycle activities. Move material using hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts as needed. Resolve difficult customer service issues and complete resets, remodels, and reconstruction projects. Maintain physical stamina for standing and lifting up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- knowledge of retail floor sales techniques
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
- Ability to resolve difficult or stressful customer service issues
- Demonstrated teamwork
- Must be able to work majority of shift standing
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to visual merchandising and product placement techniques
- High School Diploma or GED
