Job Summary
Assess the value of donated items based on condition, quality, and market trends, then apply pricing strategies to merchandise to maximize sales while maintaining competitive rates. Utilize pricing tools to ensure accurate and consistent pricing across all product categories, monitor inventory levels, and adjust prices as necessary to optimize turnover. Collaborate with Pricer Support personnel to maintain coverage and accuracy during absences, while documenting all pricing decisions and communicating updates to team members and management. Adhere to company policies regarding pricing guidelines, customer service, and safety, and support store initiatives through effective pricing execution.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs, frequently exert up to 25 lbs. of force, and constantly apply negligible force when handling objects.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Proficient in performing repetitive motions such as extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction and working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
- Skilled in tasks involving seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
- Capable of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces, as well as maintaining balance when performing agile tasks.
- Possesses clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and busy environment is essential for this role.
- The ability to work effectively in a noisy environment is a requirement for this role.
- The ability to work effectively in a bright environment is a requirement for this role.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a requirement for this role.
- A fundamental understanding of written and spoken English for comprehending instructions, as well as the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English, may be necessary.
- Previous experience in retail pricing or related field preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate product value and market trends
- Attention to detail and accuracy in pricing assessments
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using pricing tools and software applications
- Knowledge of thrift store operations and merchandise categories is a plus
