Job Summary
Review loan files to confirm documentation completeness and accuracy, then verify that underwriting and closing conditions are satisfied prior to funding. Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, and closing agents to resolve outstanding items and discrepancies, while calculating final disbursement amounts to support accurate funding. Authorize and release funds in accordance with policy, performing quality control checks to maintain accuracy throughout the process. Maintain organized records of funding activity and decisions, providing timely service to internal and external partners. This role requires two years of mortgage funding experience, proficiency with mortgage software, and the ability to work overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in mortgage funding, mortgage processing, or mortgage closing support
- Working knowledge of mortgage lending processes and applicable regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to review documents and data with strong attention to detail
- Proven organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Proficiency with mortgage-related software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet funding deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience coordinating funding with closing agents and settlement partners
- Experience performing funding-related quality control or audit checks in a high-volume environment
