Closing & Post Closing Associate

Job Summary
Obtain outstanding closing packages, upload them to the LOS system, and review documents for accuracy using investor-specific checklists. Search town and county sites for recorded documents, draft assignment of mortgages, and deliver closed loan files to investors. Resolve investor RESPA conditions by providing disputes or cures, and reach out to attorneys or borrowers for missing or corrected documentation. Update documentation for address corrections or revised escrow amounts. Work in the office three days a week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential overtime as needed to meet service level agreements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to work in office three days a week
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years related Closing/Post Closing experience
- Must be computer literate
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and office equipment
- Ability to complete time-sensitive tasks
- Ability to self-manage in fast pace environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in an ever-changing market
- May require over-time; must be available to work additional hours on short notice as determined by management to meet service level agreements
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of third-party mortgage software and imaging systems including, but not limited to Encompass360
- Ability to pick-up new LOS systems and understand new websites quickly
- Conduct web searches on town, county, and state websites
- Knowledge of banking regulations; i.e. Regulation Z, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)
- Certificate of Appointment as a Notary Public from the CT Secretary of State
