Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role supporting store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with opening/closing procedures, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, processing payroll and scheduling, maintaining displays and store fixtures, ensuring loss prevention and safety policies, handling deposits and receipts, supervising and developing store associates, and delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; preference for high school diploma or equivalent and prior store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store settings; ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, kneeling, etc.)
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics)
