Job Summary
Maintain daily operations at Penn Entertainment's 43 North American destinations while adhering to safety rules and operating instructions. Perform tasks requiring the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, push, pull, and work in varying areas including confined spaces under moderate to loud noise levels. Read and interpret documents in English, including safety manuals and procedure guides, while communicating verbally and writing as needed. Possess proficiency in Microsoft applications and meet professional appearance standards. Must be licensed with the New Mexico Racing Commission and be at least 18 years old.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
- Must be licensed with New Mexico Racing Commission
- Excellent customer service/communication skills
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English
- Written communication skills in English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
- The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 75 pounds
- have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
- Able to perform duties in all weather conditions
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
- Employee could be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second hand tobacco smoke
