Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for office patients following established standards and procedures. Maintain accurate records and reports while establishing effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, and staff. Identify clinical problems and recommend solutions while reacting calmly to emergency situations. Uphold confidentiality, adhere to safety precautions, and demonstrate dependability, teamwork, and initiative. Requires current Alabama RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing school, and CPR certification. Huntsville Hospital offers a training center, clinical ladder, and residency program for new grads.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Alabama State Registered Nurses License
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions
- Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures
- Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness
Desired Qualifications
