Job Summary
Assess patient needs and priorities, execute therapeutic physician orders, and evaluate patient response to care within the assigned shift. Plan and delegate care based on identified patient requirements while maintaining accountability for all outcomes delivered. Utilize effective interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse backgrounds and adjust to changes in the daily work schedule. This role is located at Huntsville Hospital, a Best Regional Hospital recognized by U.S. News & World Report. We offer a Nurse Residency Program for new graduates and a Clinical Ladder for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Alabama or Multistate nursing license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) certification
Desired Qualifications
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Critical care experience
- Previous dental experience
- Previous OR, Pre-Op or PACU experience
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to use effective interpersonal relation skills when working with a variety of people and situations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to communicate with people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
- Positive attitude and the willingness to assist when communicating with the public
- Highly organized
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to continuing changes in the daily work schedule
- Attention to detail
