Job Summary
Assess patient needs and priorities, plan and delegate care, and execute therapeutic physician orders for oral maxillofacial procedures. Evaluate patient response to interventions and track progress toward expected outcomes while remaining accountable for shift-specific care results. Requires current Alabama or Multistate nursing license, BLS certification, and ACLS within the provisional period, with PALS preferred. Critical care, dental, OR, Pre-Op, or PACU experience is preferred. New graduates are accepted. Teamwork, effective communication, and adaptability to fast-paced environments are essential. Weekend employment agreements apply as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Alabama or Multistate nursing license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) certification
Desired Qualifications
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Signed agreement on file for weekend employees
- Critical care experience
- Previous dental experience
- Previous OR, Pre-Op or PACU experience
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to use effective interpersonal relation skills when working with a variety of people and situations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to communicate with people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
- Positive attitude and the willingness to assist when communicating with the public
- Highly organized
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to continuing changes in the daily work schedule
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving and critical thinking
