Job Summary
Conduct pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assist with pulmonary rehabilitation and smoking cessation. Perform bronchial hygiene, deliver medications via aerosol and MDI, manage oxygen therapy, collect arterial blood gases, and administer cardiac monitoring. Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent communication and presentation skills. Organize goals, meet deadlines, and apply sound judgment to problem-solving. Requires ASBRT licensure, N.B.R.C. registry, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the ASBRT
- Registry by the N.B.R.C.
- BLS certification
- Experience as a respiratory therapist in a critical care environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
- Excellent communication skills
- Presentation abilities
- Ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas Bronchial Hygiene
- Delivery of medications via aerosol
- Delivery of medications via MDI
- Oxygen Therapy
- Arterial Blood Gas Collection
- Pulmonary Function testing
- Cardiac Monitoring
- Ability to organize
