Job Summary
Conduct patient care assessments, gather vital signs, prepare exam rooms, draw up medications, and administer injections. Answer and return phone calls regarding patient medical concerns, schedule patients for diagnostic tests and surgeries, and coordinate with the scheduling department. Gathers and records financial and insurance information while distributing testing and surgery details to patients. Requires Certified Medical Assistant licensure, one year of clinic experience, and BCLS certification within the orientation period. Full-time role in Centre, AL with a focus on continuity of care and assisting providers, patients, and families.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Minimum of one year clinic experience in clinic setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
- Ability to use computer
- Ability to use fax machine
- Ability to use copy machine
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- BCLS must be received within the orientation period
