Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at GlobalFoundries Malta (Fab 8) responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving semiconductor equipment and processes in a 300mm manufacturing facility. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets, troubleshoot using mechanical, electrical, and PC/software skills, communicate equipment status to Lead Tech/Engineer, review SPC charts for process quality and respond to out-of-control conditions, and participate in continuous improvement and training activities. Work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment; 12-hour night shifts with potential two-person lift requirements and a focus on safety and environmental, health, and security programs.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)
- Experience: Electrical or mechanical, one of the following: 2-year technical degree; 2 years of relevant military experience; 4 years of relevant experience (automotive repair, BOCES, HVAC, aviation, cable installation, computer routing, telecommunications, electrical work, etc)
