Job Summary
Maintenance Technician Apprentice at GlobalFoundries Malta Fab8, responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving semiconductor equipment and processes in collaboration with production teams and area engineers. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets, troubleshoot equipment using mechanical, electronic, and PC/ software skills, and communicate updates to Lead Tech/Engineer. Complete four HVCC college courses during the 18–24 month apprenticeship at no cost, with potential promotion to a Level 2 Maintenance Technician upon successful completion, performance reviews, and 2700 hours of on-the-job training. Shift is nights with alternating weeks; relocation assistance offered to eligible candidates. Must operate in a cleanroom environment and may be required to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance if requested. Flexible, safe, and collaborative work culture with emphasis on continuous improvement and training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree (or equivalent)
