Job Summary
Maintenance Technician Apprentice responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving semiconductor equipment/processes in the Malta site Fab 8, collaborating with production teams and area engineers; perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tool sets, troubleshoot equipment using mechanical/electronic/PC skills, and communicate updates to Lead Tech/Engineer. Requires completing four HVCC college courses during an 18–24 month apprenticeship at no cost to the employee; eligible for promotion to Level 2 Technician after successful courses, performance reviews, and 2700 hours of on-the-job training. Responsibilities include following procedures, monitoring equipment for manufacturing readiness, recovering equipment from process interruptions, documenting events, reviewing SPC charts for process quality, contributing to continuous improvement, and participating in training; must work across shifts and maintain safety and EH&S compliance. Salary ranges $36,200 - $59,200, with relocation assistance offered to eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree (or equivalent)
- Able to work in a cleanroom environment wearing required attire
- Able to work in a standing position for extended periods (12-hour shift)
- Able to lift equipment/tools above 50lbs with two-person lift
- Fluent in English (written & verbal)
