Job Summary
Register patients, verify insurance, and manage scheduling while answering telephone inquiries and returning calls. Initiate patient care assessments, collect vital signs, prepare exam rooms for procedures, and gather specimens. Provide patient education and support to assist physicians, patients, and families. Requires a Certified Medical Assistant credential, high school diploma, and minimum one year of clinic experience with phlebotomy skills preferred. Must possess strong communication abilities for a fast-paced environment and proficiency with computers, faxes, and copy machines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Minimum of one year clinic experience in clinic setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
- Must be able to use computer
- Must be able to use fax machine
- Must be able to use copy machine
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- BCLS must be received within the orientation period
