Job Summary
Initiate patient care, gather vital signs, prepare exam rooms for procedures, and collect specimens. Provide patient education and support to assist physicians, patients, and families. Assist coworkers and draw blood as needed. Requires high school diploma or GED, with CNA or LPN preferred. Phlebotomy experience and one year of clinic setting experience are preferred. Must possess excellent communication skills, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and operate computer, fax, and copy machines. Full-time or PRN float pool availability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of certified medical assistant program
- Completion of the Huntsville Hospital Patient Care Tech program
- CNA
- LPN
- BLS certification received within the orientation period
- Phlebotomy experience
- Minimum of one year experience working in a clinic setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
- Computer proficiency
- Fax machine proficiency
- Copy machine proficiency
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work well in a team environment
