Job Summary
Initiate patient care, gather vital signs, prepare exam rooms for procedures, and collect specimens. Provide patient education and support to assist physicians, patients, and families. Assist coworkers and draw blood as needed. Maintain excellent communication skills while prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced clinic environment. Requires high school diploma or GED, with preferred certification from a medical assistant program or CNA. Must possess phlebotomy experience and one year of clinic setting experience. BLS certification required within orientation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
- Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine
- Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of certified medical assistant program
- Completion of the Huntsville Hospital Patient Care Tech program
- CNA
- CNA or LPN
- BLS must be received within the orientation period
- Phlebotomy experience
- Minimum of one year experience working in a clinic setting
