Job Summary
Provide continuity of patient care at the Lung Center by working directly with physicians and administrators to assess and intervene on patient health problems. Deliver teaching, counseling, and support as needed while maintaining care consistent with established policies and procedures. Perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, administering injections, practicing phlebotomy techniques, and conducting lab procedures. Utilize computer EMR charting systems to document patient referrals and follow-ups. Requires a Certified Medical Assistant Program completion, BLS certification, and a minimum of one year of medical experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program
- BLS
- Certified Federal Drug Screen Collector
- Certified Breath Alcohol Technician
- Minimum of one year medical experience in a clinic or hospital setting
- competence in taking vital signs
