Job Summary
Initiate patient care, gather vital signs, prepare exam rooms for procedures, and collect specimens while providing education and support to patients and families. Assist coworkers and draw blood as needed. Maintain excellent communication skills to prioritize tasks quickly in a fast-paced clinic environment, utilizing computers, fax machines, and copy machines with attention to detail. Work well within a team setting to ensure continuity of quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
- Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine
- Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of certified medical assistant program
- Completion of the Huntsville Hospital Patient Care Tech program
- CNA
- CNA or LPN
- BLS
- Phlebotomy experience
- Minimum of one year experience working in a clinic setting
