Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, family, and group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management for children, adolescents, and their families. Deliver home and community-based behavioral health services across various settings, including homes, schools, hospitals, and shelters. Implement treatment plans with advocacy, care coordination, and linkage to community resources while maintaining confidentiality and completing all required documentation accurately. Provide after-hours emergency mobile crisis services via phone or in-person interventions as assigned. Offer clinical supervision to program staff and interns, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to coordinate client care. Assist with program development, marketing, grant writing, and administrative operations. Maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and CPR/first-aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality of both agency and client matters
- Clinical knowledge and expertise necessary to perform long term and brief therapy models
- Crisis intervention capability
- Knowledge and experience in trauma recovery oriented therapy approaches
- Knowledge of cultural diversity and cultural competency
- Physical capability to participate in physical interventions (i.e. protective stances and limited physical interventions)
- Knowledge and expertise in clinical theory and practice as it relates to the populations served by Wellmore, Inc.
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Effective communication with both families and professionals (in writing and verbally)
- At least one year post graduate clinical experience working with children, adolescents or families
- Connecticut license as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Social Worker or a doctorate in psychology and a Connecticut license as a Psychologist
- Connecticut license as a Professional Counselor
- Licensed eligible and attain such licensure within one year of the date of hire
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Valid auto insurance
- CPR and first-aid
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual (Spanish-English)
- Master's degree in marriage and family therapy or social work
- Connecticut license as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Social Worker (LMFTA or LMSW)
- Master's degree in a human service field with at least a one year clinical internship working with children and/or adolescents
- Four years experience
- Experience in group and family therapies
