Job Summary
Conduct assessment, group and individual therapy, treatment planning, and crisis interventions for adults with moderate to severe mental illness and justice involvement. Provide Motivational Interviewing, SBIRT, and brief interventions to improve abstinence and harm reduction outcomes. Deliver consultations, therapeutic interventions, and training to the care team to enhance communication skills and cultural sensitivity. Teach patients self-management skills for chronic conditions and manage risk assessments, including referrals for suicidal or homicidal ideation. Document all patient interactions in the Electronic Health Record, maintain HIPAA confidentiality, and comply with mandated reporting requirements. Collaborate with psychiatry providers, attend team meetings, and make referrals to specialty services. Assist patients with community functioning tasks and provide resources for social needs.
Required Qualifications
- Registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology
- Experience in diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis services
- Experience and/or training working with adults with moderate to severe mental illness
- Experience providing services to justice-involved individuals
- Commitment to culturally competent practices
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to abide by standards of professional ethics
- Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations as they pertain to position including HIPAA, sexual harassment, Mandated Reporting, Scope of Practice, OSHA, etc
- Ability to understand and promote the mission, vision, and values of WellSpace Health both in the work place and in the community
- Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone

- Experience providing services to justice-involved individuals
- Experience with brief interventions, including Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
