Job Summary
Clinician at South County Academy provides diagnostic assessments and individual, group, and family counseling for adolescent females ages 13–18 with complex educational, behavioral, and therapeutic needs in a on-campus setting. Collaborates with management, behavioral specialists, teachers, and other service providers to ensure safety, stability and wellness. Delivers emergency crisis intervention as needed and supports the implementation of evidence-based treatments such as Trauma Systems Therapy throughout the milieu. Requires MLS-type licensure eligibility in Rhode Island and may involve travel to and from clients’ residences and community locations, with a flexible schedule and opportunities for Spanish-speaking compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.) required
- Required to be eligible to be licensed in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Mental Health Counselor
- Proficiency in professional writing
- Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs
