Job Summary
Provide therapeutic counseling to children and parents during supervised visits using evidence-based and trauma-informed practices. Conduct intake, assessment, treatment planning, and maintain accurate case documentation and reports, including court reports. Support parents with conflict mediation, safety planning, and referrals as needed. Collaborate with supervisors, caseworkers, attorneys, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care. Mentor and guide program interns through training, observation, and partnership. Co-facilitate PREPARE parenting group cohorts as needed. This role requires a Master's degree and at least two years of clinical experience with children and families. Candidates must be currently licensed in New York State or obtain a limited permit within six weeks of hire. The position is benefits eligible and offers a hybrid schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field
- At least two years of clinical experience with children and families
- Currently licensed in New York State in an appropriate mental health discipline or hold an active New York State limited permit at the time of hire
- Must obtain a New York State limited permit within six (6) weeks of start date if not holding one at hire
- Knowledge of child maltreatment, neglect, trauma, and high-conflict custody
- Valid NYS driver's license with required insurance
