Job Summary
Provide trauma-focused, evidence-based treatment to children and adults impacted by recent mass violence in individual and group settings. Build rapport with the community, train on trauma-related topics, and participate in healing activities and gatherings. Work collaboratively with community partners to ensure coordinated care, enhance community outreach, and strengthen overall resiliency efforts across Rhode Island. Incorporate authenticity, empathy, and humanity into daily practice while maintaining respectful, empowering, and responsive care. Travel to clients' residences and community locations, requiring a current driver's license and ability to navigate various environments.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a human service related field
- Required to be independently licensed or eligible to be independently licensed in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Therapist or Mental Health Counselor
- Current driver's license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience implementing trauma-focused evidence-based treatments strongly preferred
- Preference: Ability to speak Spanish to best support the people and their families receiving our services
