Job Summary
Clinician/Play Therapist provides trauma-informed mental health counseling, play therapy, and case management to individuals, families, and groups across age ranges, with work locations including office, schools, and community settings. Responsibilities include biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, ongoing therapy, group facilitation, report writing, and coordination with attorneys, DCF, collaterals, and courts. Requires Master’s degree in a relevant field and licensure considerations; 1 year of experience preferred; drive to work day/evening hours; proficiency with EHR systems and MS Office. Benefits include a 403(b) and generous PTO. Location: South Boston, MA (office/schools/community settings) with standard in-person expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school
- Independently licensed clinician preferred(PhD, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LADC-1); recent graduates considered
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in social services
- Competency in trauma treatment modalities, family systems,and child development
- Proven knowledge of substance use disorders and dual diagnoses preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,attention to detail, and time management
- Experience establishing connections with local agencies and providing resources to clients
- Interest and ability to work as a member of a team and independently
- Strong communication, administrative, and computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSuite, Outlook and Zoom,including other electronic platforms.Experience using an electronic health records system preferred
- Ability to work day and evening hours as appropriate
- A valid MA driver’s license
