Job Summary
Clinician LMHP/LMHP-E in Horizon's Crisis Receiving Center provides direct mental health services to clients in residential crisis and detox programs, including assessments, skills restoration, health literacy counseling, treatment and safety planning, symptom and behavior management, crisis intervention, care coordination and discharge planning. Services may be delivered in individual, group, or family modalities. Requires a Master’s Degree in counseling; preferred licensure in LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LSATP, or CPCNS. Must be willing to travel to Horizon sites; valid driver’s license required. Additional duties include performing clinical interviews to formulate treatment plans and navigating Emergency Services/Pre-Screener training, with flexibility for modified schedules (weekends/holidays). Location options include Lynchburg, VA and Fenwick, VA; both sites are in-person settings within Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from a program that prepares individuals to practice counseling (60-hr Master’s Program)
- Prefer 1 year of experience in crisis services
- Prefer Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP), Certified Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (CPCNS)
- Ability to drive and must possess a valid driver’s license
