Job Summary
Conduct individual, group, and family therapy for a caseload of five to eight residents at the Chesterfield and River's Edge Group Homes. Develop interdisciplinary treatment plans and manage all case documentation while collaborating with other professionals and agencies. Uphold professionalism during daily therapeutic interactions and provide support for adolescents with developmental disorders navigating community life. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university
- Ability to sit for clinical licensure
- Minimum of two years experience in individual, group and family therapy and assessment with adolescents
- Experience in residential program or mental health in-patient program
- Knowledge in child and adolescent development
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Acceptable driving record check
- Nationwide Alpha background check
- State of CT criminal background check using fingerprints and DCF background check
- Able to work alone in an unsupervised environment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination
- Able to be certified in BCC and in American Red Cross CPR/First Aid
- Maintains valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical licensure (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC) preferred
- Minimum of two years experience in individual, group and family therapy and assessment with adolescents and experience in residential program or mental health in-patient program preferred
- Experience and/or training in work with populations impacted by traumatic stress, mental and behavioral health challenges, and developmental disabilities preferred
- Experience in case management, systems of care, and record keeping preferred
