Job Summary
Deliver direct mental health services to individuals and groups, including trauma-informed, evidence-based treatments and comprehensive psychosocial assessments. Manage case conceptualizations, treatment planning, and discharge coordination while maintaining at least 65% direct client service time. Complete risk assessments, documentation in the Electronic Health Record, and weekly Multidisciplinary Team Meetings. Collaborate with caregivers, physicians, and community partners to ensure continuity of care. Support outreach events to raise awareness and encourage referrals. Maintain clinical competencies and complete required annual trainings. Requires a current Texas Advanced-Level license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT), daily vehicle use, and availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and travel.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to a Master's degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- 1+ years' experience working as a Mental Health Clinician I, or three years of professional experience working in mental health counseling, psychotherapy, and/or related social services in a public, certified private welfare, or health agency
- Experience working with adults, couples, and families
- Knowledge in DSM-5-TR (or latest DSM edition available) diagnoses to include PTSD diagnosis and treatment
- ability to obtain certification or documented proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing within 6 months of employment
- Ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certificate of completion within 3 months of employment
- Driver's License with clear record
- current Texas Advanced-Level license to practice psychology, social work, or counseling
- LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion
- Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice
- Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates
- Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs
- Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others
- Employee should expect to work one evening a week to accommodate the schedules of the clients being served
