Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments, crisis intervention, and treatment planning for clients with serious mental illness within residential facilities. Lead the treatment team by supervising interns, facilitating group rehabilitation services, and developing goal-oriented plans that address physical and mental health needs. Provide clinical leadership through case conferences, documentation review, and coordination of community resources and discharge planning. Maintain accurate clinical records, manage caseloads, and ensure compliance with CARF and regulatory standards. Offer on-call coverage, perform first aid, and utilize a strengths-based, harm-reduction model while working with diverse populations, including those with histories of homelessness or criminal justice involvement.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in the mental health profession
- one year's experience working in human services settings
- experience in a mental health setting
- experience with targeted populations
- Current licensure from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- current licensure from the California Board of Psychology (BOP) as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Licensed PhD or PsyD)
- First Aid Certification
- successful completion of First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire
- government and/or regulatory standards for continuing education credits and recertification
- minimum of 20 hours of directly related professional training
- Proven typing speed of 30 net wpm
- computer literacy
- ability to use MS Office applications—Word; Excel; Outlook—and Windows-based databases at a basic level
- familiarity with UNIX-based databases
- ability to Work independently and in a small team environment
- ability to Organize and manage a caseload
- ability to manage multiple tasks and demands on a timely basis
- ability to Engage and communicate effectively with others in both verbal and written English

- ability to meet and receive a criminal records clearance
- A valid California Driver License
- access to a reliable vehicle/for driving a company vehicle
- current proof of auto liability insurance
- a clean DMV record

- ability to stand, walk, sit, pinch and finger flexion
- ability to Lift, carry, push, pull, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel
- ability to assist clients in the evacuation of program facilities in emergency situations

- ability to Work with participants who May have resided in long term care facilities for extended periods
- ability to Work with participants who May have patterns of service that relied almost exclusively on emergency and institutional care
- ability to Work with participants who May have cognitive difficulties and medical co-morbidities
- ability to Work with participants who are considered medically fragile
- ability to Work with participants who are developmentally disabled
- ability to Work with participants who have long-term patterns of homelessness and criminal justice involvement
