Job Summary
Provide therapeutic services to assigned clients within the FSP Program, conducting individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and groups as necessary while utilizing evidence-based treatment. Function as the Qualified Mental Health Provider for clients, ensuring treatment plans and tri-annual assessments are clinically relevant, reviewed, and signed in a timely manner. Deliver crisis intervention services to avert hospitalization or incarceration by participating in the on-call schedule for after-hours support. Maintain contact with families and significant others, track medication compliance, and collaborate with the medication support team. Meet clients based on treatment plan frequency, ensuring 6 hours of daily billable service with progress notes submitted within 48 hours. Prepare for weekly clinical meetings and case consultations, participate in agency utilization reviews, and submit required outcome measures and disenrollment forms on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to relate to individuals who have severe impairments in their ability to function in the community
- Ability to respond quickly, effectively and with equanimity to client/family crises and life situations
- Knowledge of Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health's Rehab Option model of service provision and documentation requirements
- Basic computer skills and literacy
- Ability to work as a team member and to work with other agencies, community resources and client's families
- Must be able to pass California State Department of Justice criminal background investigation, Live Scan and/or fingerprinting
- Must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, Psychology or related field
- Must have at least two years' experience working with mentally ill, homeless, co-occurring or incarcerated populations
- Must have valid California Driver's license and the availability of a car with adequate insurance
